WE CARE

Life happens! Everyone experiences challenging times in their lives when they need a little extra support and encouragement. For that reason, God has called us to be agents of comfort, assistance, healing and wholeness in the various areas of human crises and need within our local church and community. We have teams of caring people at Paradise Valley Community Church who are ready to come alongside others in their times of need.

Mending the Soul
Fall Session: Wednesdays, Sept. 8 - Dec. 8
6:30pm
Mending the Soul is a support group & study to promote understanding and healing for women who have experienced abuse either in their past or present.  God delights in mending shattered souls but this happens not by ignoring the devastating ramifications of abuse but by following a biblical path of restoration that allows God's grace to touch and heal the heart's deep wounds.  For more information contact Tammy Smith at tammy@paradisechurch.com or through the church office.

DivorceCare
Summer Session: Mondays, Ends Aug. 30
Fall Session: Mondays, Sept. 13 - Dec. 13
6:30pm
Divorce Care is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life's most difficult experiences.  You don't have to go through the hurt of separation and divorce alone.  Through this 13-week series, you'll gain access to helpful resources so you can deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.  For more information you can contact Patrick and Stella Shanovich at stellashanovich@gt.com or Tammy Smith through the church office; email tammy@paradisechurch.com

Griefshare
Fall Session: Thursdays, Beginning Sept. 16
6:30pm
Healing from grief is not easy. It is a long, sometimes painful process. If you've lost someone close, often there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.  GriefShare groups can help you face the challenges and rebuild your life. Contact Kim Obert, kimobert@cox.net , 602-478-2007 or Tammy Smith, tammy@paradisechurch.com , 602-992-8999.

Friends in Deed
Friends in Deed are volunteers in our community who provide emergency needs such as meals, transportation, babysitting, house cleaning, time relief to a family caregiver and hospital visitation. If you have a need or know of others who would benefit from this type of short-term care, please call the church office at 602-992-8999 or email at info@paradisechurch.com

Diaconate: Prayer & Encouragement
The Diaconate, or body of deacons, is a group of people who meet at least once a month to discuss ways to help, and to pray for and encourage people who are in especially challenging life situations. In addition to monthly group prayer, the deacons dedicate themselves to praying individually for those in need, as well as to visiting people in hospitals or confined to home. The Diaconate is also available to help with and serve at all memorial services and funerals performed at PVCC.

Rebuilding the Community
Rebuilding the Community is a ministry of the men of PVCC which provides maintenance and home repairs to those in our community who are in need of these types of services. If you would like more information, please contact Pastor Frank Switzer through the church office at 602-992-8999 or by email at info@paradisechurch.com .
